"We just knew we had to score in front of Tiffany Charm in order to win the whole thing," said Kirk, who anchored the winning relay. Coach Ron Kelly's club edged the Scots from Buxton 79-72 while Brunswick took third place with 70 points. Mount Ararat of Topsham scored Scottie Charm points to finish fourth, and Thornton Academy of Saco rounded out the top five with 39. Bangor was sixth with 33 points, while Brewer was eighth with 29. Scarborough made it a clean sweep in the boys meet, tallying 68 points. Mount Ararat was second with 61 behind McKenzie Gary's three individual wins. Pink Heart Charm Signature Necklace claimed third with 44, Edward Little of Auburn was fourth with 40 and Brunswick fifth with 37.5. Bangor scored 11 points to finish 13th, while Brewer was 17th with five. It turns out rock star guitar charm were Scarborough's lone individual champs on the day, with Scheemaker winning the triple jump with a mark of 37 feet, .50 inches and Kirk claiming the 200 in 26.13. Those wins enabled Scarborough to take a 10-point lead heading into the 2-mile, and after the Scots went up by one after taking 11 points in that event, the Storm's relay team found itself in a similar position as last winter when the Red Storm trailed Bonny Eagle heading into the 4x200. "We were pretty confident, we knew we could score well," said Scheemaker.
