The quality goes on and on through inspiring, reflective portraits Discount Tiffany Notes images by older, more seasoned artists. Aubray Margate's image of a bird on a branch looks like an etching, and Katelyn DoBose does a lovely ink painting of a woman using a type of pointillism. Discount Tiffany Pendants, an 11th grader, offers images of Charlie Chaplin and a number of artists deliver startling self portraits. Chella Gonsalves had the unenviable task of judging this show, limited to three honorees per grade level. Discount Tiffany Rings not enough. There are far more good works than prizes. It's hard to disagree with Discount Tiffany Sets selection of Alexis Ortega's sketch of her brother as the show's award of excellence. Hung in the middle of a long strip of works by other 12th graders, Ortega's drawing stands out, pulling in the viewer from across the room with its professionalism. One can only hope that the love for art these students demonstrate with their great efforts doesn't diminish as they get older, that they continue to develop their skills as time goes on. That's what the cast members of Senior Follies, the annual variety show for those 55 and older, have done.
