There are several free-agent third basemen on the market, but the Return to Tiffany haven't been linked to any of them yet. One of them is Pedro Feliz, who batted .266 with 12 homers and 82 RBI for Philadelphia last season. Feliz's agents hope to speak with the Elsa Peretti Open Heart hoop earrings about him during the winter meetings. Twins prospect Danny Valencia will have a chance to impress Gardenhire during spring training. Valencia was promoted to Class AAA Rochester during last season and hit .286 with seven homers and 41 RBI in 71 games, but needs more time to refine his game. "Elsa Peretti Open Wave earrings talked about bringing him up [in September]," Gardenhire said. "No one recommended that he was ready for the big leagues." Perhaps that's why Valencia decided last week to go to Puerto Rico and play winter ball. "Give Danny Valencia credit," Smith said. "He's down in Puerto Rico, trying to get better." The Twins could return to Tiffany Notes Round earrings, who was supposed to be the answer last season, but batted .225 with 15 homers and 48 RBI in 90 games last season before he needed back surgery in September for the third time in as many years. The Twins are going to monitor Crede's recovery and could sign him to another incentive-laden deal (he made around $4 million last season) before the back injury ended his season. That depends on if the hot corner is still proving hard to fill. "We'll see," Smith said. "We've had a couple conversations with Scott Boras [Crede's agent].
