Crosier hid Bragg's body on his father's property in Scott Depot for two weeks while police and Whittaker's family searched for her. He finally led police to her body, wrapped in a sheet and plastic tarp, beneath a broken-down van near the home on Scary Creek Road. He was ordered to complete a two-year youthful-offender rehabilitation program. Vicky Crosier said her son attended the rehab program, then got caught using again and served a year and half in prison. He was released earlier this year. Since his release, Figure Eight pendant had gotten engaged, was working and had started taking classes at Strayer University -- then "it all fell through," she said. He started using OxyContin, his mother said, and was arrested earlier this month in connection with the string of burglaries in Putnam. She's not sure what sparked his most recent decline into drugs. "He does have a drug problem, but he's not a vicious or hurtful person," she said.
