Dick Parsons, AOL's chief executive, warned that 2003 would be a "challenging" year during which the company expected only modest revenue increases and flat ebitda while reducing its $26bn debt: "We'll use our free cash flow and other initiatives to reduce debt on our way to obtaining meaningful strategic capacity."
