They'll take all that, too. The houses, the land, the luxury cars are also on the feds' wish list. Still, the nine-page list of property that Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank Dale wants forfeited as ill-gotten gain carries a total price tag far less than the Links of London Necklaces the FBI says Janous pilfered from former employer Scancarbon, where she was hired as a bookkeeper while still on probation for stealing from her Sevier County employer. Janous didn't try to hide her lavish lifestyle. She posted photographs on the Internet of expensive family trips, her elaborately furnished house and Links of London Rings gift-giving, and she invited the media to cover an over-the-top "Sweet 15" birthday party for her daughter. She even detailed hundreds of thousands of financial favors she bestowed on Back To School Chubby Black Pencil Charm sister in a court filing related to a dispute over her sister's children. But Dale has been mining her financial records as part of the embezzlement probe and is using that data to compile a list of items the feds can seize should she be convicted. The list also details shopping sprees in Las Vegas, spending $73,500 on a diamond ring from Tiffany's and Discount Breguet on a Patek Philippe watch. Janous doled out nearly $20,000 to O.P. Jenkins, a high-end furniture store in downtown Knoxville, and more than $80,000 for furnishings from Gift and Gourmet Interiors, evidence shows. She spent $12,300 on artwork from the Peter Lik Kona Kohala Coast Art Dealer & Gallery in Hawaii, a favorite vacation spot for the Janouses. Janous spent nearly $8,000 for four limited-edition Christian Dior evening clutch purses, $995 on a Marc Jacobs handbag and nearly $2,000 on a Burberry leather dufflebag and matching wallet, according to the government.
"A lot of them are more sophisticated travelers. They want to know more.
